What You’ll Do:
- Own large pieces of our backend codebase: Python, Flask, and SqlAlchemy
- Lead projects pulling performance critical parts out of our core codebase into high performance real-time microservices.
- Develop data/analytics pipelines
- Measure and improve performance across all of our systems.
- Build integrations with third party APIs: Slack, o365, Zendesk, Teams, etc.
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ Years working professionally with distributed systems
- Experience with Python and microservice architectures
- Comfortable working with a small team in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
- Experience in all stages of the Software Development cycle from concept to production
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects
Preferred Skills:
- Experience writing Rust and/or Go
- AWS, Kubernetes, Kinesis, ElasticSearch, terraform
- Experience developing highly scalable backend microservices in AWS
- Experience working with NLP, Spacy and/or Huggingface is a plus
